The session began with the delegates speaking about the benefits creating a global framework for AI. This discussion highlighted the various fields in which AI can function and methods to facilitate a time-saving and more convenient means to use AI.This lead to a discussion on making softwares which can help us in real life. They pointed out that the need of the hour is to maximise the features of AI and minimise any harm and side effects it may have.

The Moderated Caucuses discussed topics such as making AI cheaper and more accessible to the common people, developing different strategies with the integration of AI, and the harmful effects of AI and how these could, and should, be avoided.
A major area of debate related to AI is unemployment. The Delegates made sure to have a moderated caucus on the topic of unemployment due to AI. Many of them stated that AI can alter the entire nature of the work place. They stated that AI can even replace employees because of factors such as efficiency, quality of work and increased investment.

AI has led to advancements in the medical sector. The motion—“how does AI help in healthcare?”- was raised. The recurring point raised during this motion was that in the field of healthcare, x rays, CT scans and MRI’s help us to know where the problem is. This points to how valuable AI can be in the service of mankind.
The Delegates focused on the point that AI does not replace doctors but assists them and coordinates with them to make the treatment more streamlined and comfortable for the patient. The Delegates opined that AI was very helpful in surgeries can even enhance the skill of the surgeon.
Soon after, debate moved into a moderated caucus about how AI helps in education. Delegates expressed that AI can be very helpful in this field because with minimal resources such as an electronic device and an internet connection, one can easily study a wide range of courses.
Delegates felt that AI can make studying much easier because of its speed. Despite these arguments, many delegates opposed the motion, and do not encourage the use of AI in the field of education.
